the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian sponsored the inauguration of the Khalaf Al Habtoor Hospital, the subordinate to Zakat Fund in Lebanon ,in the presence of MP Khalid Zahraman, the representative of the in-charge Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Hariri, Dr. Abdul-Ilah Miqati, the representative of President Najib Miqati, the Advisor Bahij Arabid representative of the Minister of Health Mr. Wael Abu Faour Professor Musallam Al Mansouri, representing the UAE Ambassador Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi, the deputies d. Ahmed Fatfat, Mr. Khaled Dahir, Mr. Nidal Tomeh, Mr. Riad Rahal, Mr. Qassim Abdelaziz, Mr. Kazem Al-Khair, former deputies Talal Al-Marabi, Wajeeh Al-Barini, Mustapha Hashem and Gamal Ismail, Brigadier Ali Hazemeh , Representative of the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Ibrahim Basbous, Brigadier Mahmoud Asmar , Mrs. Noura al-Badawi, represented Sheikh Khalaf Al Habtoor, the Grand Mufti of Akkar Sheikh Zaid Zakaria, head of the legitimate Sunni courts in Lebanon, Sheikh Mohammad Assaf and former minister, Dr. Khaled Qabbani and President of the charitable fund Al-Maqased Al-Islameya in Beirut Amin Daouk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zakat Fund, Dr. Imad Itani and Director General Sheikh Zuheir Kebbi and a number of members of the Council, Dr. Samer Haddara represented by the Secretary-General of '' Tayar Al Mustaqbal '' Mr. ahmad Hariri, judge Sheikh Khaldoun Araymet, Governor of Akkar lawyer Imad Allabaki, head of the Department of Akkar Awqaf Sheikh Malek Jadeda , Monsignor Elias Gergs , a member of the political opposition '' Tayar Al Mustaqbal '' lawyer Mohammed Al Murad , a member of the Supreme Islamic Council of Forensic Ali Tles and heads of unions and municipality mayors .
After the verses of the Holy Quran and the national anthem, the speaker of the ceremony, Munther al-Marabi (the master of the ceremony) gave a welcoming speech, and then the mayor of Harrar Mohammad Hazem thanked the Mufti Derian for his care and his presence and Mr. Khalaf al-Habtoor for his great gift and for all those who contributed and exerted their efforts to achieve this health facility in this area, especially Zakat Fund.
Then the director of the hospital Dr. Rabie Samad thanked everyone and stressed on the importance of the launch of this health facility'.
And in his speech: the head of the Union of Municipalities of Gard Al Qatea'a Abd Elah Zakaria welcomed the Mufti Derian, and carried a wish to both the President of the Republic and the government to settle Akkar in one of the ministerial portfolios.
Then Sheikh Zuheir Kebbi, General Director of the Zakat Fund, said: 'within a short time The Mufti inaugurated the medical center of the Zakat Fund in Hamad Street in Beirut. Today, he inaugurates Khalaf Al Habtoor Hospital in the town of Hurar Akkar.the zakat fund afforded a lot of effort and money In order to achieve at what it has reached now, but this hospital has undergone several and complex stages nevertheless The response of Mr. Khalaf Al Habtoor to the various additions to the hospital made a great step to reach this great work and to achieve what we are today. many thanks and respect to him and to his working team for their cooperation with us .
And those follow-up of The Grand Mufti Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif derian and his Insistence to find the appropriate operator to this hospital , have the great importance, and he has followed us step by step until we arrived to this day after founding the appropriate operator .
And Dr. Rabie Samad, will achieve the goals behind the construction of this hospital in this area, by God willing.
Mr. Arbid started his speech by conveying the greetings of the Minister of Health to Akkar and its people and to the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul latif Deran, also his wishes in success to the hospital, which would provide the health services that were lacking in Akkar, thanking the United Arab Emirates for its great and permanent giveness to Lebanon as well for Sheikh Khalf Al Habtoor for this valuable gift.
He also explained the 'health plans that have implemented by the Ministry of Health, including the primary health care, despite of the great burdens which have exacerbated because of the crisis of Syrian refugees '.
In his speech Mr. Muslim Al Mansouri stressed that the UAE attaches great importance to foreign aid as a commitment to its humanitarian mission and to the fulfillment of the principles of giving that was laid down by the late founder Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and established by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Which was based on helping others without discrimination.
And I considered Khalaf Al Habtoor Hospital that we have inaugurated today which is a gift from the UAE businessman Khalaf bin Ahmed Al Habtoor, ‘ who has a lot of charitable giving’ , a sign of the strong relations between the two brotherly peoples and the hospital definitely considered a quantum leap and an addition to the quality of healthcare services that is implemented the needs the region '.
And Mrs. Al-Badawe in her speech expressed her thanks to Mufti Derian for his presence and sponsorship also she thanked the audience for their concern and . And She singled out the people of Harar in her thanks for their cooperation and dedication to the completion of this hospital as well the Zakat Fund for what it has provided. and She confirmed that Khalaf Al Habtoor Foundation will continue in its humanitarian and charitable journey. It does not discriminate in its giving between one person and another or between one region and another.
In conclusion, Mufti Derian delivered a speech in which he said: 'Here we come to Hurar, to our family, to celebrate with you all the opening of Khalaf Al Habtoor Hospital, the hospital that built and completed by Zakat Fund in Lebanon. with Al Habtoor support, whose heart is full of faith and love of giving. a gift from him to contribute the development of this region, and providing health care to its people and its children, And the provision of health care to its people, a token of love for Lebanon and the people of Lebanon, and a confirmation of solidarity with the people, and a sense of duty embraced by the feelings of brotherhood that binds Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.
He added: Yes, he is the son of this dear country, the son of the Arab Emirates, which carried Lebanon's economic and social issues, and stood beside it, supporting the nation-building process and carried out development and humanitarian projects in every region in Lebanon. And It’s still supporting Lebanon with all needed to Its economy, and stability of its security, and support of its people in overcoming the economic and living conditions that the people of Lebanon have experienced it.
Yesterday, it gave the permission for the operation of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital in Shebaa in the Arqoub area in the south, that it donated building and equipping it with the latest advanced equipment and medical devices, and today we celebrating the opening of Khalaf Al Habtoor Hospital in Hrar in the north, in the presence of Chancellor Muslim Obaid Al Mansouri, representing our friend and a friend of Lebanon, His Excellency the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi, who love Lebanon and the people of Lebanon, which works with all his potential to establish a development projects in every region of Lebanon, god bless him, and for the owner of the giant projects in Lebanon ; our brother Khalf Al Habtoor we wish him To have more grace and blessing and longevity he never let Lebanon down in the most difficult and dangerous circumstances.we also send a great thankful tribute to the President of the United Arab Emirates and his esteemed colleagues for the attention, love and care of Lebanon and the Lebanese.
He continued: ’You, the free people, the people of Akkar, and the sons of Hurar, you are the people of heroism, generosity and honor, the people of patriotism, sacrifice. You have always honoured your country, You have given so much, despite of what you lack, and there is much to mention like, Water, roads, sanitation, schools and hospitals, but you still giving and sacrifices, you have suffered a lot, suffer of deprivation, hardship and unemployment, but you have to trust that we will never leave you, And we will stand by your side, so that justice and equality prevail throughout Lebanon, and among all the Lebanese. and Dar Al Fatwa will strive ,it will always work for the good, security and peace of all Lebanon, and to strengthen national unity and coexistence , And to guarantee to every Lebanese the dignity of life and to live.
Then He said: ‘We are very pleased with the recent election of the President of our Lebanese Republic, General Michel Aoun, and from the mandate of President Saad Hariri to form a new, inclusive government that fulfils the hopes of the Lebanese and their aspirations that they have waited for patiently. We trust his capability to form a harmonious government, in cooperation with the political forces, to overcome the obstacles wisely and knowingly. Those days , we live in
A stage of political prosperity but to complete our joyful we still need to speed up the government formation ,so we can build Lebanon as a model of civilization by its solidarity and unity through its people - Muslim and Christian - or as Lebanese.We are optimistic, because Lebanon came out from the vacuum that affected the national harmony, paralyzed the economy, undermined confidence in the country and weakened constitutional institutions, furthermore we are looking forward to serious and sincere work, constructive cooperation between the various political forces and leaders, and through the institutions of the legitimate state, based on the provisions of the Constitution and in accordance with the law, to solve the vital problems of people, work and serve the people. We have to deal with each other honestly, integrity and respect, behaving ethically, and away from extremism and intolerance, and resort to wisdom, and moderate positions, so we can build a state of truth and law, the state that reassures the citizen, to protect their rights and interests and freedoms, the state that gives them a sense of security and stability and peace, they are proud to belong to it and loyalty to It.
He added: from Beirut to Akkar we have come to promise that we will not give up your rightful demands, we will all work hand in hand to achieve it with this new covenant,based on the President oath speech that he has chosen to be a consistent approach to his era, And integrated with the expected ministerial statement of President Saad Hariri government .
Then he continued : ‘'It is Akkar, and Harar is a part of it , and we all belong to it , Akkar where the Perseverance and the humility, the honesty with the self and with others, the fulfilment of the covenants, values and principles which the people of this dear region have grown on it , and settled in their conscience , we depend on it to build an Independent free sovereign, a homeland for all Lebanese, a country dominated by love, affection, mercy, equality and justice, a homeland we build with the arms of all Lebanese, and protect it with our lives, So Congrats people of Akkar, and people of Hurar, for the health edifice that was donated by a dear brother who seeks the God Satisfaction.
The Mufti Derian concluded:
Allah says in the holly book ‘’ Whatever of good ye give benefits your own souls, and ye shall only do so seeking the "Face" of Allah. Whatever good ye give, shall be rendered back to you, and ye shall not Be dealt with unjustly.’’

At the end of the ceremony, the Grand Mufti of Derian received honorary shields, and then he inaugurated the hospital and toured in its sections.
It is worth mentioning that the official and popular delegations received the Grand Mufti Derian and his accompanying delegation. And sheeps were slaughtered for him in every city he stopped in.
